The Very Hungry Worry Monsters
Oh, my what a cute little book for those little worriers in your class! I just came across this book on amazon and it is the absolute cutest! It even came with the cutest stuffy to stuff those worries in! Check out the cuteness below!
The Very Hungry Worry Monsters Book Companion
I am adding this cute little read aloud to my “beginning of the year” book list! I am a worrier myself, so this book really hit home! To start your planning, I have included questions to be printed on mini size post its to put throughout the book to guide you through the read aloud.
Next, I created some vocabulary word cards to introduce those new words to students before you start reading this fun book.
Then, after you read the book, I created a fun little monster craft for students to keep in their desk all year! They can write any worries they have down on a piece of paper and put it in the “pocket” on the back of their monster. I included 3 different ways to create these monsters. The first option is:
PRINT IT AND STUDENT SIMPLY COLOR IT
PRINT ON COLORED PAPER AND STUDENT CUT AND PASTE
OR MY FAVORITE! USE YOUR CRICUT TO CUT!
However, you decide to create these little cuties they will be a hit! I love that they can keep them in their desk throughout the year and use when needed.
Such a fun little book! You have to add it to your beginning of the year list! You can find the product by clicking on the image below! As always thanks for stopping by and I hope I help in making the start of the year less stressful (that’s one of my worries!)
