Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun Read Aloud Companion

Here is another fun read aloud companion for the beginning of the school year! This might be my favorite one yet! This is a super cute book all about accepting others for who they are and being a good friend. Perfect for building that classroom community we strive to at the beginning of the year.

What is included in this companion?

I always need my post it notes to help me remember to ask those important questions before, during and after reading. I love printing these on the mini post it’s!

I also like to include vocabulary cards to review words we may not be familiar with!

This might be my favorite part. I make spaghetti and bring it in a crockpot with hot dog buns of course. We will fill out the first anchor chart before reading and then when we are done reading we will try spaghetti in a hot dog bun ourselves! After we tried it we will complete the second anchor chart and compare! Such a fun activity!

I have not decided which is my favorite, trying spaghetti in the classroom or making these adorable 3D self-portraits! How stinking cute are these! Now they may need a little help putting these together, but man they turn out cute! I plan to work this around our parent night, so parents can see them displayed on the wall!
