Teacher copy

This unit will follow the same format as last unit, but I have made a few changes to fit the skill being taught. I have noticed that my students are doing great with the visual drill and I felt like I needed to add more skills than just letter sounds, so I added some vowel combinations and some word families for us to work on during this unit. The other thing I tweeked is the stories that we work on after we complete our worksheet.

Daily Stories for Practice.

I changed the format a bit because I wanted students to be able to look for these patterns every day on a new story. These skills can be tricky for little minds to learn and remember. Every day they will be able to be “detectives” and look for the spelling patterns. I like to give them mini magnifying glasses for this part of the lesson. Students will use the color code to find the patterns and then write them in the correct column. Then we can practice reading the story. Click on picture below to find it on my TPT storefront!
